Last Saturday we went to Zaltbommel for the Dutch Speciality. We showed both Tillo and Lycia and they did wonderful! They were entered in the intermediate class and they both became second with an Excellent. Tillo also took "Best Head" in Sweepstakes! It was Lycia's first time in the ring, but  she did great! Even on the table she stood perfectly still. Pictures of Lycia and her judge report can be found on her page.

In the picture you can see handsome Tillo standing on the table. Other pictures of him in the ring can be found here and of course his judge report is online too :)

The Dutch Basenji Club also organized a coursing, which was a great succes! Both pups loved it! I think it's clear from the picture how crazy Tillo is about the lure... But Lycia wasn't bad either! She also coursed for the first time and she didn't need any explanation! They ran two courses alone and the third together.

Job took some beautiful pictures that can be found on Lycia's page and in Tillo's coursing gallery.

Last weekend we went to Trechtingshausen, Germany, for the Speciality. It was a very good organized show, a beautiful show ground and a wonderful and gentle judge. Tillo didn't really feel like showing, but still did ok. He got his first VG and became fourth in his class. In the Sweepstakes he won "Best Wrinkles". On the picture you can see proud Tillo and his big ribbon with the Rhine in the background.

Of course we brought Lycia as well. She wasn't shown, but we did take some nice pictures of her and her handsome dad Echo. You can find them here.

Pictures of Tillo in the ring can be found in his gallery and his judge report can be found here.

We have a new family member: a brindle Basenji female, named Lycia. She will stay with us for about six months and then she will travel to Scotland. She claimed her place in our house, so we decided to also give her some space on the internet. You can find her page here.

We went coursing again! Tillo got to run twice and his second run was with Isha, a nice Basenji girl. It was his first course with another Basenji and he did very well! He didn't get distracted and ran the full course.

Pictures here.

Tillo has a new hobby: track racing! Today he had his first training and it went great! Job took some very nice pictures, you can find them here.

Yesterday we had a very small Basenji date. Tillo and Bendji got to spend their Saturday together and had a blast! I uploaded some pictures to Tillo's gallery.

We just spent two weeks in Sweden, Tillo's Country of Birth. We had a great time! Sweden is a lovely country with lovely people and beautiful Basenjis! Right in the middle of our two weeks of doing nothing we went to the Swedish Speciality, which was a great experience! It was very nice to meet part of the family Holmberg again and of course Umbra, Tom and Xtra, Tillo's family. We definitely enjoyed it! Tillo did well and became 5th with an Excellent and an Honour price in a big intermediate class. We do have to practise the trotting in a large ring, though.. ;)

In the second week we visited Stockholm, which is a beautiful city! Tillo showed that he's a real city dog, thoroughly enjoying all the views and smells :)

Tillo also had a girlfriend named Bonnie, the flatcoated retriever of the owners of our cottage. They liked eachother from the first minute they met and have shared the garden for quite some hours.. which made sure the camera wasn't brought for nothing. You can find the pictures here. And the show pictures here.

Do we have a smart Basenji or what?! Tillo had his obedience exam today and he did ok.. Of course the grass was too high and wet and... But he still did the best he could and got enough points to get his diploma!

Well done Tillo! We are so proud of you!

Tillo had a fun time last sunday when he got the chance to chase the lure. He was so calm during the waiting that I thought he just wasn't interested. I couldn't have been more wrong.. As soon as he saw the lure right in front of him and felt his collar coming off, he knew it was his turn!!

Job took some lovely pictures of Tillo flying. I made a special gallery for all the lure coursing pictures. You can find them here.

Tillo did so well today! He became first in youthclass with an Excellent and got his fourth JCAC! He also became reserve best male and got his second Rec-CAC. Only two of those and we're there! (Or a full CAC of course.. :D)

Here you can find his judge report and the pictures! (and no.. I'm not wearing flip-flops in the ring.. this was practice only..;))
