Today was a big day for Tillo!! He became first in youth class with an excellent and won his third JCAC. This means he is now Dutch Youth Champion!!!

 Yesterday I got an email from Åsa, Mirtillo's breeder. She told me she saw from the pictures that it was time for me to handle the scissors and trim Tillo's tail.. Well.. today was the day.. I took a deep breath.. And told Tillo to STAND STILL.. You can see the result in the picture.. I think we did pretty well! ;)
Tonight we had an exam at our show training. There was a real judge, who gave points for all the different aspects, like walking a straight line, standing still, being touched, attention of the dog, clothes handler etc.. We got all excellents, except for the straight line.. Because Tillo was jumping and hanging in my clothes.. :D Last but not least: I uploaded new pictures of Tillo in his "April - June" gallery. Because I thought there were a bit too much pics in his gallery, I decided to make a new website were all the pics can be found (from now on) and I will only upload a very small selection to this site. 
 What's a 'Mirtillo' weekend? A weekend full of off leash running and playing with other dogs. Yesterday morning we had dog training, which was a real succes. Tillo had to spent a lot of the time off leash.. of course still paying attention.. But he did very well.. only taking off three times! (in an hour ;))
In the afternoon we went to het Leesten. Tillo started running around 17.30 h and stopped around 20.00 h. And he only stopped, because the humans were hungry.. But as soon as we got in the car, he was snoring within seconds. Today we had a walk with our former dog training in the sand dunes. It was great fun! The weather wasn't what we wanted it to be, but we still enjoyed it. For pictures of this weekend you can visit Tillo's 'April - June 2009' gallery. We made an extra gallery for the dog training pics. You can find them here or you can click on the picture.  Today we had a national show in Alkmaar. It was outdoor and the weather was great! We really enjoyed it. Tillo became second in youth class with an excellent. He didn't really feel like showing: he was crying and actually sat down on the table while being judged.. Good for him he didn't have to stand on that table all day.. ;)  We uploaded the first May pictures, including a nice head shot and a picture of Tillo stacked.  Lovely Mody, Elegant Elephant Happiness Mod, became Baby BOB and Baby BIS at a national show in Slovakia this weekend.  We made two new albums (2008 & 2009) with pictures of Mirtillo's obedience training. Tillo has been active in obedience since he was a little baby and he loves it! He already has two diplomas, including his puppy diploma. Mirtillo's judge reports of 2008 and 2009 are online. You can find a link under Show results. Most of the reports are originally written in Dutch or German and translated to our best English. We hope the mistakes aren't too numerous ;) |
